Study of Adult Children of Divorce

full-logo-color (2)

My research team and I are conducting a research study about adult children’s experiences with parental divorce.

Our study focuses on the experiences of adults who have gone through parental divorce in adulthood. More specifically, we are interested in how adult children communicate with their parents during divorce.

We are inviting men and women who: (a) are 18 years of age or older, (b) were 18 years of age or older when their parents divorced, and (c) were living on their own at the time of their parent’s divorce (In other words, participants did not live with their parents at any time during or after their divorce) to participate in an interview with a member of our research team.

Interviews will last approximately 60 -90 minutes and will take place over the phone. Thus, location will not prohibit anyone  wishing to be interviewd from participating in the study.

Participation is completely voluntary and all responses will be kept confidential. In appreciation of your participation, you will receive $20.00.

If you qualify for the study and are interested in participating, please contact Dr. Mikucki-Enyart to schedule an interview: email| smikucki@uwsp.edu

In addition, if you know other individuals who may like to participate, please feel free to forward this message to them.

If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Mikucki-Enyart at smikucki@uwsp.edu or by phone 715.346.2267.

Thank you in advance for your time. Your participation will help advance our understanding of this important family transition.

Best,

Dr. Sylvia Mikucki-Enyart
